U.S. CITIZENSHIP VERIFICATION

In compliance with U.S. Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) Title 49, Part Section 1552, which pertains to the security requirements for individuals seeking to obtain certain certifications, all prospective flight students must provide verification of U.S. citizenship or immigration status. This information will be used solely for the purpose of compliance with federal regulations and will be handled with the utmost confidentiality.
 

By uploading your U.S. citizenship documentation, you confirm that the provided documents are valid and authentic. False or misleading information may result in the denial of flight training services or other penalties as prescribed by law.
 

Important Note: Instructors are required to maintain U.S. citizenship data for up to five (5) years, in accordance with regulatory requirements.
 

If you are not a U.S. citizen, you must obtain approval through the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) via the Flight Training Security Program (FTSP) webpage before beginning flight training.

Instructions for Uploading U.S. Citizenship Documents:
 

  1. Required Documentation:​

    • One Primary Form of Federal ID OR Two Forms of Secondary ID

    • Primary ID's (only one required)

      • U.S. Passport or Passport Card (current or expired)​​

    • Secondary ID's (two required)

      • U.S Drivers License AND

        • Social Security Card​

        • U.S. Birth Certificate

        • U.S. Naturalization Certificate or Certificate of Citizenship

  2. Document Format:

    • Documents must be clear and legible. Please ensure that all text is readable and any official seals or signatures are visible.

    • Acceptable formats: PDF, JPG, PNG.

    • Documents must be uploaded in their entirety (no cropped images).

  3. Review and Confirmation:

    • After submission, your documents will be reviewed for accuracy and compliance.

    • You will receive a confirmation email once your documents have been successfully verified.

  4. If You Are Not a U.S. Citizen:

    • If you do not have U.S. citizenship, you must obtain TSA approval before proceeding with flight training.

    • Please visit the FTSP webpage to begin the approval process.

  5. Privacy and Security:

    • All uploaded documents are securely stored in compliance with applicable privacy laws.

    • Your citizenship information will only be used for federal regulatory purposes and will not be shared with third parties without your consent, except as required by law.
